On August 8th, Sona Devi University, Ghatsila, hosted the Induction cum Orientation Program 2024. The event, was held at the Michael John Auditorium , Bistupur in Jamshedpur, warmly welcomed the new students for the academic session 2024-25, inspiring them to strive towards their set goals.
The program featured Shri Premranjan, Regional Director of Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA), Adityapur Region as the Chief Guest. In his address, he praised SDU for creating a conducive environment for quality education. He noted that the people of Ghatsila have always had valued education, and in today’s competitive world, the efforts to ignite the flame of learning in this region are commendable. He encouraged the students to focus on their goals while also working for the betterment of society. He advised them to use their strength to help the less fortunate, respect others’ opinions, and approach life with an open mind to ensure a brighter future.
The event also saw Mr. U. N. Pathak, Chief Editor of Dainik Jagran, Jamshedpur as a Special Guest,who motivated the students to acquire comprehensive knowledge to secure good employment opportunities. “These four to five years at the university will be the most crucial period of your life. To succeed, complement your studies with well-rounded internships and practical knowledge,” he emphasized.
Mr. Udit Agrawal, Editor of Uditvani, advised students to recognize and develop their abilities while maintaining originality in their work, as that is the key to success.
Chancellor of Sona Devi University, Mr. Prabhakar Singh, provided insights into the university’s academic activities and future plans. He acknowledged the support of many individuals in advancing the university and noted that this is just the humble beginning. “The measures of happiness and success vary in life,” he added, encouraging students to strive for both.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Mishra extended his best wishes for a bright future to the students, emphasizing that the goal should not just be to pass exams. “Adopt a practical approach to life, accept accountability, and continue working diligently to achieve success,” he advised.
Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad honored all the esteemed guests with mementos and shawls.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a devotional Ganesh Vandana. Students of Sona Devi University performed Saraswati Vandana and showcased local art through group dances. The performance by Jamshedpur’s famous rock band “Band Safar” resonated with the youth, adding vibrancy to the event. A video message was also presented, highlighting the university’s activities, academic programs, and achievements. The event also introduced all faculty members, providing the attendees with a glimpse into SDU’s growing academic environment.
The event was further graced by the presence of Sri Rakeshwar Pandey, President of different Trade Union of Tata Group companies,Mr. Gurmeet Singh Tote, President of Tata Motors Workers’ Union; Mr. R.K. Singh, General Secretary of Tata Motors Workers’ Union; Mr. Raghunath Pandey, President of Jusco (TSUISL) Workers’ Union; and Mr. Sanjeev Srivastava of Lafarge Workers’ Union, among other dignitaries. Additionally, Mr. Sanjeev (Tunnu) Choudhary, President of Tata Steel Workers’ Union extended their best wishes to the students.
Social workers Mrs. Poorvi Ghosh, Mr. Ashok Agrawal, Mr. Nand Kishore Agarwal along with member of SDU’s Academic Council, Mr. Ravindranath Chaubey, and former DGM of Tata Motors and Management Guru, Mr. Chandreshwar Khan, were also present. Former Head of Corporate Communications at Tata Steel, Mr. Prabhat Sharma, attended the event and provided insights on how SDU’s evolving curriculum is set to propel students towards a brighter future.
Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad concluded the event by expressing gratitude to all the guests, students, and their parents for their participation and support. The program concluded with the national anthem, marking the successful culmination of the Induction and Orientation Program at Sona Devi University.
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय, घाटशिला द्वारा 8 अगस्त को इंडक्शन कम ओरिएंटेशन प्रोग्राम 2024 का आयोजन किया गया। जमशेदपुर के माइकल जॉन ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में शैक्षिक सत्र 2024 -25 के नए छात्र – छात्राओं का स्वागत कर उन्हें अपने लिए निर्धारित लक्ष्य को हासिल करने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आदित्यपुर प्रक्षेत्र जियाडा के क्षेत्रीय निदेशक श्री प्रेमरंजन शामिल हुए। उन्होंने उपस्थित लोगों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि एस डी यू बेहतर शिक्षा का एक सुनहरा माहौल उपलब्ध कराने का प्रयास कर रहा है। घाटशिला क्षेत्र के लोगों में शिक्षा के प्रति जागरूकता रही है। आज व्यावसाहिकता भरे माहौल में इस क्षेत्र में शिक्षा का अलख जगाना सराहनीय कार्य है। उन्होंने छात्रों से कहा कि अपने लक्ष्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए आगे बढ़े और समाज हित में भी काम करें। छात्र अपनी शक्ति का इस्तेमाल असहाय की सहायता करने के लिए करें। दूसरे के विचारों का सम्मान भी करें । युवा खुले दिमाग से काम करेंगे तभी आपका भविष्य बेहतर होगा ।
विशिष्ट अतिथि दैनिक जागरण के प्रधान संपादक श्री यू . एन. पाठक ने विद्यार्थियों का उत्साह बढ़ाते हुए कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय के विद्यार्थी अच्छी और पूरी जानकारी प्राप्त करें तभी अच्छा रोजगार हासिल कर सकेंगे। विश्वविद्यालय जीवन के यह चार – पांच वर्ष आपके जीवन का महत्वपूर्ण दौर है । जीवन में सफल होने के लिए पढ़ाई के साथ इंटर्नशिप भी अच्छे से करें, विषय का व्यावरिक ज्ञान हासिल करने से ही सफलता मिलेगी।
उदितवाणी के संपादक श्री उदित अग्रवाल ने कहा कि विद्यार्थी अपनी योयता और क्षमता को पहचाने । अपने कार्य में मौलिकता को बनाए रखे तभी सफलता मिलेगी ।
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय के कुलाधिपति श्री प्रभाकर सिंह ने विश्वविद्यालय के शैक्षिक गतिविधियों और भविष्य की योजनाओं की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने छात्र-छात्राओं को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए कहा कि सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय को आगे बढ़ाने में कई लोगों का सहयोग रहा है । यह अभी यह एक छोटी सी शुरुआत भर है श्री सिंह ने कहा कि जीवन में खुशी और सफलता का पैमाना अलग अलग है ।
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो(डॉ.)जे. पी. मिश्रा ने विद्यार्थियों को सुनहरे भविष्य की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि सिर्फ परीक्षा पास करने का उद्देश्य नहीं होना चाहिए । जीवन में व्यवाहारिक दृष्टिकोण अपनाए तभी सफलता मिलेगी । जवाबदेही स्वीकार करें और निरंतर कार्य करते रहे ।
कुलसचिव डॉ. गुलाब सिंह आज़ाद ने सभी मेहमानों को स्मृति चिन्ह और शॉल भेंट कर सम्मानित किया।
कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत दीप प्रज्जवलन के साथ श्री गणेश वंदना कर की गयी। सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र – छात्राओं ने सरस्वती वंदना कर प्रस्तुति दी। साथ ही समूह नृत्य कर लोक कला का प्रदर्शन किया। जमशेदपुर के रॉक बैंड ” बैंड सफर” की प्रस्तुति ने उपस्थित युवाओं को खूब झुमाया। इस अवसर पर एक विडिओ सन्देश के माध्यम से सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय की गतिविधियों, शैक्षिक कार्यक्रमों और उपलब्धियों की जानकारी दी गई। उपस्थित सभी फैकल्टी का परिचय कराया गया। इस अवसर पर टाटा मोटर्स वर्कर्स यूनियन के अध्यक्ष श्री गुरमीत सिंह तोते , टाटा मोटर्स वर्कर्स यूनियन के महासचिव श्री आर .के सिंह , जुस्को वर्कर्स यूनियन के अध्यक्ष श्री रघुनाथ पाण्डेय , लाफार्ज वर्कर्स यूनियन के श्री संजीव श्रीवास्तव समेत कई गणमान्य उपस्थित थे। टाटा स्टील वर्कर्स यूनियन के अध्यक्ष श्री संजीव (टुन्नू )चौधरी , टाटा स्टील के विभिन्न अनुषंगी इकाइयों के यूनियन के अध्यक्ष श्री राकेश्वर पांडेय जी भी उपस्थित थे और उन्होंने अपनी शुभकामनाएँ दीI सामजसेवी श्रीमती पूर्वी घोष , समाजसेवी श्री अशोक अग्रवाल , श्री नंद किशोर अग्रवाल , समाजविज्ञानी सह एस डी यू के अकादमिक कॉउन्सिल के सदस्य श्री रविन्द्रनाथ चौबे , टाटा मोटर्स के पूर्व डीजीएम एवं मैनेजमेंट गुरु श्री चन्द्रेश्वर खां , टाटा स्टील के पूर्व मुख्य कॉर्पोरेट कम्युनिकेशन्स श्री प्रभात शर्मा ने विशेष रूप से कार्यक्रम में शिरकत की और विद्यार्थियों को एसडीयू के बेहतर होते पाठ्यक्रमों से भविष्य में आगे बढ़ने की सीख दी।
