Ghatsila, Jamshedpur, 9th September 2024 – Sona Devi University, a leading institution committed to academic excellence, is proud to announce the commencement of a 3-day workshop on “Research Methodology, Research Writing, and Publication,” which runs from 9th to 11th September 2024. This workshop is tailored for aspiring researchers, academicians, and scholars aiming to deepen their understanding of research processes, academic writing, and publication techniques.
The primary objective of this workshop is to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills related to research methodology, scholarly writing, and the nuances of publishing academic papers in high-impact journals. Research scholars, particularly Ph.D. students from Sona Devi University and other universities, will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from industry experts and seasoned academicians.
The workshop was inaugurated today with a keynote session led by Dr. N.R. Mrinal, Head of the Department of Psychology, Nagpur University, Maharashtra. Dr. Mrinal emphasized the importance of research in academic development and shared insights on the various stages of research, from problem selection to hypothesis testing and data analysis.
Dr. Mrinal noted, “Research is the cornerstone of development. Scholars need to understand the significance of research methodology to produce high-quality, impactful work. The role of statistical techniques in research is pivotal, as it provides the foundation for data analysis and meaningful conclusions.” He elaborated on statistical analysis methods such as mean, median, mode, t-tests, and hypothesis testing, providing attendees with an in-depth understanding of these essential tools.
The workshop also witnessed participation from key figures in the academic world, including Chancellor Mr. Prabhakar Singh, Vice-Chancellor Dr. J.P. Mishra, and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Gulab Singh Azad, who also shared their insights on the importance of structured research and the vital role it plays in advancing knowledge and academic integrity.
The workshop sessions include presentations by research scholars on various topics, with the opportunity for attendees to engage in discussions and seek clarification on key aspects of research methodology. The event concluded with participants being encouraged to apply the knowledge gained and continue their journey towards becoming exemplary researchers and contributors to the field of academia.
This 3-day workshop will offer participants hands-on guidance on drafting, revising, and finalizing research papers, selecting appropriate journals for publication, and navigating the publication process.
Research is the Foundation of Development: Dr. N. R. Mrinal
A three-day workshop on Research Methodology, Research Paper Writing, and Publication was inaugurated on September 9, 2024, at Sona Devi University, Ghatsila. This workshop, which will continue until September 11, witnessed the participation of Ph.D. research scholars from Sona Devi University, as well as scholars from other universities. Various aspects of research were discussed during the workshop.
On the first day, the keynote speaker was Dr. N. R. Mrinal, Head of the Psychology Department, Nagpur University, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Dr. Mrinal provided in-depth insights into the different stages of research to the scholars. He emphasized that research is the foundation of development. He elaborated on what aspects researchers should consider when selecting a research problem, how to formulate and test hypotheses, and what factors to consider when designing research to ensure that the sample represents the study effectively.
Dr. Mrinal highlighted that knowledge of research methodology is essential for conducting quality research. He explained the crucial role of statistical techniques after data collection in research. He provided a detailed explanation of statistical analysis methods such as mean, median, mode, standard deviation, t-test, f-test, and z-score. Additionally, he discussed how to measure variance between two variables and conduct hypothesis testing. He also touched on correlation and determining the significance level. Dr. Mrinal elaborated on the normal distribution curve as well.
The workshop began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Chancellor Mr. Prabhakar Singh welcomed the keynote speaker Dr. N. R. Mrinal and all the research scholars. The Vice-Chancellor of Sona Devi University, Dr. J. P. Mishra, spoke to the scholars about the importance of research. Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Gulab Singh Azad briefly discussed the various stages of research methodology with the research scholars and elaborated on the significance and utility of the workshop for their curriculum.
In the second session of the workshop, several research scholars presented their papers. At the end of the program, scholars had the opportunity to resolve their doubts related to research methodology through interactions with the experts.
शोध कार्य विकास की आधारशिला : डाo. एनo. आरo मृणाल
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय, घाटशिला में रिसर्च मैथोडोलॉजी ,रियर्च पेपर राइटिंग और पब्लिकेशन पर आज दिनांक 9 सितंबर 2024 को तीन दिवसीय कार्यशाला का उदघाटन हुआ l दिनांक 11सितंबर तक चलने वाली इस कार्यशाला। में सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय के Ph.D रिसर्च स्कॉलर के अलावा अन्य विश्वविधालय के रिसर्च स्कॉलरो ने भी हिस्सा लिया l इस कार्यशाला में रिसर्च स्कॉलरो को शोध के विभिन्न पहलुओं से अवगत कराया गया l कार्यशाला के पहले दिन मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में नागपुर विश्वविधालय, नागपुर, महाराष्ट्र के मनोविज्ञान विभाग के अध्यक्ष डॉo एनo. आरo मृणाल ने रिसर्च स्कॉलरो को शोध के विभिन्न चरणों के बारे में गहन जानकारी दी l उन्होंने कहा कि शोध कार्य विकास की आधारशिला है l रिसर्चर शोध समस्या के चयन में किन – किन बातों का ध्यान रखें? परिकल्पना का निर्माण एवम् उसकी जॉच कैसे करें , रिसर्च डिजाइन बनाते समय किन चीजों पर ध्यान दे ताकि शोध में शामिल सैंपल का प्रतिनिधित्व हो सके? डॉo एनo. आरo मृणाल ने बताया कि अच्छा शोध कार्य करने के लिए रियर्च माइथोलॉजी की जानकारी बहुत जरूरी हैं l प्रोo मृणाल ने बताया कि शोध में डाटा संग्रह करने के बाद सांख्यिकी प्रविधियों की महत्वपुर भूमिका होती हैं l उन्होंने सांख्यिकीय विश्लेषण पद्धतियों जैसे माध्य , माध्यमान , बहुलक , मानक विचलन , t टेस्ट, f टेस्ट , z स्कोर , के बारे में अत्यंत सूक्ष्म जानकारी दी , साथ ही उन्होंने बताया कि दो चरों के बीच विचलन की माप कैसे की जाती है और परिकल्पना परिक्षण कार्य कैसे किया जाता है? उन्होंने सहसंबंध निकलने और सार्थकता का स्तर ज्ञान करने के बारे में भी बताया l प्रोo मृणाल ने सामान्य आकृति वितरण के बाद में भी विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला l इस से पहले दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ कार्यशाला की शुरूआत हुए l कुलधिपति श्री प्रभाकर सिंह ने मुख्य अतिथि डॉo एनo. आरo मृणाल तथा सभी रिसर्च स्कॉलरो का स्वागत किया l सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति डॉo जेपी मिश्र ने शिधार्थियों को शोध के महत्व के बारे मैं बताया तथा कुलसचिव प्रोo (डॉo) गुलाब सिंह आजाद ने रिसर्च मेथोडोलॉजी के विभिन्न चरणों के बारे में संक्षिप्त जानकारी रिसर्च स्कॉलरो को दी , तथा उन्होंने शोधार्थियों को पाठ्यक्रम हेतु इस कार्य शाला के महत्व एवम् उपयोगिता के बाद में विस्तार से बताया l
कार्यशाला के दूसरे सत्र में कई रिसर्च स्कॉलरो ने अपना – अपना पत्र प्रस्तुत किया तथा कार्यक्रम के अन्य में शोधार्थियों ने रिसर्च मेथोडोलॉजी से संबंधित अपना शंकाओं का समाधान विद्त जनों से प्राप्त किया l
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय घाटशिला में रिसर्च मेथाडोलॉजी पर आधारित कार्यशाला के दूसरे दिन विश्वविद्यालय के कुल सचिव दो गुलाब सिंह आजाद ने शोधकर्ताओं को शोध से संबंधित कई जानकारी दी । उन्होंने रिसर्च स्कॉलरो को बताया कि असर कारक शोध कार्य हेतु शोधकर्ताओं में कौन-कौन से वंचित गुण होने चाहिए कार्यशाला के दूसरे दिन के पहले सत्र में घाटशिला कॉलेज के प्राचार्य डॉक्टर आरके चौधरी ने भी अपने शोध कार्य से जुड़े अनुभवों को सांझा किया। कार्यशाला में कोहलन विश्वविद्यालय के विभिन्न कॉलेजों के कई महान प्रोफेसर शामिल हुए।
अतः दूसरे पत्र में कई शोधकर्ताओं ने रिसर्च शोध पत्र प्रस्तुत किया माइथॉलजी पर आधारित कुलपति डॉक्टर जेपी मिश्रा रिसर्च स्कॉलर को शोध के लिए टॉपिक का चुनाव करने के संबंध में विस्तार से बताया । कार्यशाला में शोधार्थी द्वारा बताए जाने वाले टॉपिक पर भी मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया ग
शोध में अवैधानिक विधि का कोई स्थान नहीं- पी.के. पाणी
सोना देवी विश्वविद्यालय के रिसर्च मेथाडोलॉजी पर आधारित कार्यशाला के तीसरे और अंतिम दिन कोल्हान विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व वित्त पदाधिकारी एवं कोमर्स विभाग के अध्यक्ष रहे डॉ0 पी के पाणी ने कार्यशाला में उपस्थित रिसर्च स्कालरों से शॊधकार्य पर आधारित अपने अनुभव साझा किया उन्होने शोधकर्ताओं को रिसर्च का अर्थ बताया और गहन जानकारी दी। वैज्ञानिक विधियों की जानकारी देते हुए कहा रिसर्च में अवैज्ञानिक विधि का कोई स्थान नही हैं। रिसर्च के बारे में श्री पाणि ने कहा कि सोशल साईंस में हम सामाजिक विकास के लिए अध्ययन करते हैं। शोधकार्य में रिसर्च मेथाडोलॉजी का महत्वपूण॔ स्थान हैं। इन्होनें शोधकर्ताओं को पी. एच. डी. थीसिस लिखने के तरीके के बारे मे भी बताया. बी.डी.एस एल महाविद्यालय की मनोविज्ञान विभाग की अध्यक्ष डा. पुष्कर बाला ने रिसर्च स्कालरों को कन्फ्रैस और सेमिनार के महत्व के बारे में बताया। कार्यशाला के सफल आयोजन में कुलाधिपति श्री प्रभाकर सिंह, कुलपति डा. जे पी मिश्र, कुलसऻचव डा. गुलाब सिंह आजाद तथा सभी आमंत्रित वक्ता के अलावे अनुशुआ राय एवं सभी फैकल्टी की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही
